Tariq Ashkanani is an award-winning Scottish crime author. His first novel, Welcome to Cooper, was released back in 2021 and won the Bloody Scotland Debut Award. It was also nominated for the Capital Crime Fingerprint Award and the CWA New Blood Dagger.
His novel The Midnight King picked up the McIlvanney Award for best Scottish crime book of the year at Bloody Scotland.
He has also started an Edinburgh-set crime series starring Callie Munro - a female Private Investigator who has to contend with a serial killer in her first outing, The Night Watcher.
His latest novel is The Hollow Boys. A small Appalachian town is thrown into disarray when two boys go missing, presumed drowned — only for one to suddenly reappear ten months later…
When he's not writing, he's working the day job as a solicitor or recording Page One - The Writer's Podcast, where he interviews writers of all kinds and dive into their journey to publication. Give it a listen!

David Goodman is an award-winning, multi-genre Scottish author. His debut novel A RELUCTANT SPY won the 2025 McDermid Debut Award and Bloody Scotland Debut Prize and was optioned for television by Carnival Films. The sequel SOLITARY AGENTS was longlisted for the 2026 McIlvanney Prize.
His SF debut, SHARDS OF STARLIGHT, as David W. Goodman, is forthcoming in Autumn 2027 from Solaris. He also has several published short SF stories and novelettes.

Nicholas Binge is a bestselling author and screenwriter. He writes speculative thrillers that blend big sci-fi concepts with psychological horror, as well as crime and thriller novels under the pseudonym Nick Brucker, with his crime debut White Smoke set to release in 2027.
In 2023, his breakout novel Ascension was a New York Times Editor's Choice Pick, finalist for the Goodreads' Choice Awards and Ignotus Award, and named a ‘best book of the year’ by Vulture, Goodreads, The LA Times, and The Sunday Times. His sophomore novel, Dissolution, was hailed as one of the best thrillers of 2025 by The New York Times and other leading outlets, and was followed swiftly by the critically acclaimed novellas Extremity and Abyss.
